Notions:

Stitch markers (10 total; 2 unique for the front border stitch, and 8 for the raglan); scissors; row counter (suggested); darning needle to weave in ends; waste yarn or stitch holders to hold your sleeve stitches; and five 1” buttons.

 Notes:

This raglan-style cardigan is knit flat from the top down, using circular needles. The stitches for the sleeves are put on holders, and the rest of the body is knit first. The shawl collar will be picked up at the end, and buttonholes added between the short-row sections. Body is knit with positive ease, and the sleeves are more fitted.

I recommend before starting this knit, you take out an oversized cardigan or sweater that you enjoy the fit of, and measure across the front of it. I would then take a look at the finished garment measurements and determine what size you would like to knit.

While working this pattern, you will be working the same chart panel, with variations given for increases and decreases throughout the shoulders and shaping.

Please note where you leave off when you separate for the sleeves on the chart as this is where you will pick back up on it when you pick up the sleeve sts later.
